Hollow Base WadCutter
A hollow-base wadcutter is a pistol projectile with a pit or hollow in its base which expands upon being fired, forcing the base to engage with the barrel rifling and sealing the bore more as the projectile travels through the barrel. Hollowing the base makes the bullet more front-heavy, which improves aerodynamic stability and accuracy. The wadcutter leaves a perfect circle like a hole punch making it easier to read the score and perfect for target shooters.
